The rise of the labour left again

Dear Comardes

After the good work of John Mcdonnell we need to re-unite after defeat and look at the positives. We now have a network of left people in the party, In the North West we have recruited hundreds if not thousands of left members into the party through John's campaign. I feel the best way is through working together and making sure people like Cruddas sticks to his agenda.

Dear John,

Would you like to join the Labour Left Forum - you would be more than welcome.

Just leave your e-mail address along one the "comment" boxes and I will invite you - the address oin question must be the one you use for your "google account" as it makes things far easier.

You may have noticed that the forum experienced sort of a false start due to some Right-wing nutjob picking up on some interanl disagreements, a non-story, really!

I would be glad to have you onboard!

Comradely,

Mikael

You are forgetting one thing John, Gordon Brown. He has been wanting his right wing policies for some thirty years now and the ruthless way he stopped John McDonnel getting his nominations shows what we have to face. Cruddas? well!! his history says it all. Something must have happened in the job he has had for the last twelve years to sicken him into seeking our support. Apart from all that, good luck, I for one am supporting you, providing you don't expect me to join the Labour Party.

Thanks for the comments. I am trying to be an insider blog from the party.

In that case John forget it because most of the old grafting stalwarts are now outside the party. A lot of the support you are left with are imports from the tory and liberal parties who will do nothing to help. Believe me I have watched them. You need to do more than just say "Come back", we need something to encourage us back. There are thousands of us out here John, dying to help and looking for real change. Too many people saying "we have to move forward". When your wellies get stuck in the mud you have to go back and get them or you get deeper in it or forget where your wellies are.

Dear Chiptimber
what I am trying to say is that I want to inform people on what is going on within the left of the party which doesn't get reported much. That is what I am trying to say. Sorry about the throwaway comment sounded wrong!!!

Thats ok John, we are singing from the same song sheet, well very near. You have hit on the point again,"what is going on in the left of the party does not get reported much". Thats because there are not many MPs with John McD's views. John McDonnell proved that when he could only muster twenty nine nominations. That is, in my view, over the limit of Labour left MPs, I reckon nearer to about nineteen. Totally unfair (or should I say ruthless) of Gordon Brown to go to such great lengths to keep out the left, which is what he did.

Did the McDonnell campaign really result in uptake of party membership, if it did it to the levels you are implying then it's been a fantastic few weeks for the party!

Imagine what would have happened if he'd been able to get enough support to actually get involved in an election!
